We are so excited you have decided to join us for our wedding! We are promoting the idea of gathering our family and friends in one or two locations, so that everyone can mingle and enjoy this time to celebrate! In doing so, we have selected the Doubletree Hotel as a primary hotel that we will plan to use as a central location. It is the most affordable of the options, and we believe presents the best all around value. This hotel is very close to the wedding venue, the beach, and other interesting attractions. We will be providing transportation from this hotel to the wedding venue and back and will also be hosting a space in the hotel for family and friends to get together throughout the weekend.

The three hotels listed below have all provided discounted rates for our wedding celebration. There are many other beautiful places to stay in San Diego, so feel free to venture out, if you so desire. We want you to have a wonderful time, not just at our wedding, but experiencing the best of San Diego as well. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions if you have them!

Group Room Rate: $99.99/night, including parking.

This hotel is near our wedding venue, and less than ten minutes from the beach, downtown Del Mar, and Torrey Pines State Reserve, three attractions we highly recommend to our guests. We will be providing transportation from this hotel to the wedding venue (and back). We hope that many of our family and friends will use this hotel as a gathering place. We will also be hosting a concierge room (or something similar) at this hotel for socializing and enjoying the weekend! It is our hope that each of our guests will enjoy their time in San Diego with the most special people in our lives!

Please reference “Sanders Routh Wedding” when reserving your room to receive the discounted rate. All reservations must be made at least 30 days in advance of the wedding, so please book your rooms no later than September 5, 2012. Reservations made after this date may still receive the discounted rate, pending room availability. The earlier we know the number of reserved rooms needed the better!

For those looking for the true ‘beach village’ experience, this hotel is located two blocks from the beautiful beaches of La Jolla, California and is right in the heart of this very picturesque community. The Inn offers guests the best in comfort and convenience at a surprisingly good value for the area. Hotel guests will enjoy strolling down Prospect Street, the Rodeo Drive of San Diego, where they will find great shopping, art galleries and fine dining, all with views of the La Jolla cove. This hotel is located 5 miles (approximately 15 minute drive) from the wedding venue.

Please tell the front desk that you are reserving a room for the “Sanders Routh Wedding” to ensure that they know you are booking for our wedding. Guests will need to call the hotel directly at the numbers provided above. Continental Breakfast is included in your room rate, and effort will be placed on providing guests the best available rooms at the time of check-in. Room options include one king or 2 queen beds, and all the standard amenities are provided. Please book your rooms at least 30 days in advance of the wedding (by September 5, 2012), otherwise rooms will be subject to availability. The negotiated rate will still be honored after this date pending availability.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines

We do have a limited number of rooms available at a discounted rate at the wedding venue location. Room rates are $225.00/night, and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. This hotel overlooks the famous Torrey Pines Golf Course and Pacific Ocean, and is an upscale, craftsman style lodge. More information can be found at www.lodgetorreypines.com.

Getting Around San Diego:

San Diego does have public transportation, although the city is quite spread out. Guests will find that a car is helpful for sightseeing and getting around. The suggested hotel locations are approximately 30 minutes north of the airport if traveling by car. The airport is located in the heart of downtown San Diego, and there is much to do and see in this area.
